O-1 JR Fuel

On most vehicles there is a metal fuel line coming from the fuel tank with a short piece of rubber fuel line that is reconnected to another metal fuel line. Remove the entire portion of rubber fuel line and install the O-1 JR fuel filter between both segments of metal fuel line using the hose and clamps furnished with your O-1 JR fuel filter. For example: the metal fuel line coming from the fuel tank will now be connected with furnished fuel line to the "input" on the O-1 JR. The furnished rubber fuel line coming from the "output" of the O-1 JR will then be connected to the other metal fuel line that was previously disconnected. Mount the O-1 JR fuel filter as close to the spliced section as possible. (Ideally, install filter in an upside down position).  The installation is now complete!

Now, turn the ignition key and wait for the "don't start light" to go off.  Now, turn the key off and repeat the previous step 2 more times.  This will insure that all air is purged out of your fuel system.  Now, start your engine as normal.

On engines that do not have electric fuel pumps we recommend the following:
Install a fuel bulb on the imput line going to the filter.  Install a Tee on the output line with a valve.  After changing the filter, open valve on output and use the fuel bulb to prime the filter and wait until all the air is out and fuel is coming out of the valve.  Close valve and the filter is now primed.
