0-1 Jr Transmission Filter

Owner’s Manual

Installation:

**** See attached instructions ****

Service Intervals:

After installing the GCF Transmission Filter, run vehicle approximately 1,000 miles and change the GCF element. Alter this initial change, we recommend that the GCF Filter be serviced once every 90 days or 10,000 miles. If operating in extremely dusty environments, service GCF filter element each 6,000 miles.

Clamp Adjustment:

During the first 1,000 miles of use, the lid and gasket assembly will seat. Therefore, after the first 1,000 miles of service the clamp of the GCF filter will need to be adjusted. Using a 3/8” wrench, make two full turns on the nut, this should be sufficient. It should require full hand pressure to close clamp.

  1. There are two metal lines from the transmission that are connected to the radiator. Select the easiest accessible of these two transmission lines to install your GCF adapter.
  2. Cut a section of the metal line that coincides with the necessary length
    of the adapter.
  3. Determine the direction of flow. With a pan under the two openings of the
lines, have a person start the vehicle.  Watch to see which opening the fluid
comes out first.  As soon as you see the direction of flow, have the person
    turn off the vehicle.
  4. Using the proper size compression fittings (5/16 or 3/8) install the GCF
adapter in place of the section of line removed.
  5. The input to the GCF Filter will be the first opening on the adapter that
coincides with the direction of flow. (See drawing)
  6. Mount the GCF Transmission filter in a convenient location and run the
lines to and from the adapter.  Insure that lines are secured properly and
    are not near the exhaust.
  7. After installation is complete, run engine and check for leaks.
